To this end, the instrument features a wide, spatula platform tip. Moreover, the tip is atraumatic and serves as a counterforce to other nucleus trisecting instruments.
Also, the platform model that measures 2.0mm width is ideal to use with an Alfonso Nucleus Trisector. On the other hand, the 3.0mm width platform model serves as a support for the Bucher-Kansas Nucleus Trisector.
Lastly, all our Alfonso Cutting Platforms have a solid, round handle. The handle features a knurled pattern over its surface, which prevents fatigue and finger strain.
