For this purpose, the nucleus controller features a trumpet-bell shaped tip. Moreover, this design allows surgeons to graduate the forces required to crack the nucleus within the capsular bag. As a result, this tool is ideal to minimize local tissue trauma.

In addition, the nucleus controller includes a solid, round handle. The handle has an ergonomic outline to avoid fatigue, and a finely knurled pattern covers its surface, thereby enhancing gripping.
