Description
The Flieringa Scleral Fixation Ring offers stabilization and safety during corneal procedures. Surgeons fixate the ring to the sclera, in order to take the pressure off the eye.
For this purpose, the instrument is available in various diameters, ranging from 14 to 22mm. Once the surgeon chooses the adequate ring, he proceeds to fixate it onto the sclera using four sutures. The scleral sutures correspond to each portion anterior to the rectum muscles insertions.
Moreover, the Flieringa Scleral Fixation Ring’s surface has a smooth, satin finish that prevents scleral tearing or other injuries. Also, this item is available in a set of 9 rings or in a single format, which aims to meet the procedure’s requirements.
