The Fechtner Conjunctival Forcep offers a wide array of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to provide an efficient way to manipulate the conjunctiva without puncturing local tissues.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of very fine, straight jaws with a tying platform that facilitates stitching. In addition, the tips of the jaws have dull rings that not only help to grasp tissues with safety but also permit to guide suture threads.
Moreover, the Fechtner Conjunctival Forcep features a spring handle with a pin lock and three fenestrations. This ergonomic design permits to control the clamping pressure and minimizes the risk of accidental slippage.
