The Cushing-Landolt Speculum offers a wide range of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to enlarge the nasal cavity to visualize the surgical site and pass instruments with ease.
For this purpose, the instrument features concave blades that ensure a broad tunnel sight of the nasal cavity. In addition, the blades’ sizes range from 70 x 15 to 110 x 15mm to accommodate a variety of nostrils.
Moreover, the Cushing-Landolt Speculum features a manually operated screw-lock mechanism. Surgeons can rotate the screw to adjust the width between the blades and increase exposure.
