Description
The Alphonso Infant Lid Speculum offers a wide range of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to provide an atraumatic way to expose the eyeball during pediatric eye surgery.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of wire blades that ensure an excellent view of the eyelids’ conjunctiva. In addition, the wires have a smooth surface that prevents inadvertent local injuries.
Moreover, the Alphonso Infant Lid Speculum features circular, ridged finger platforms. Surgeons can press the platforms not only to tighten the blades’ width but also to manoeuvre the device. Furthermore, a spring mechanism at the bottom facilitates the insertion underneath the eyelids.
Manufactured in premium grade stainless steel with a fine satin finish that reduces glare.
